From the tiniest baby toes to knock-knock-jokes to standing there in their cap and gown — this motherhood ride goes at a breakneck speed. I feel the duality of it myself, as a mother raising her babies alongside you, and also as an artist (with an irrepressible love of whimsy that not even the dirty-diaper-phase could dull). I am constantly re-focusing my lens on all the little moments of magic that make up these messy, imperfect days. They are there. You feel them! You just need someone to capture them and show them back to you.

Hi! I’m Rachel.
I’m a wife, mama, and portrait photographer based in Pittsburgh, PA. I take photos of love and family: maternity, newborn, family and seniors. I love fizzy water and hot coffee, and using every pot and pan in the house when I make dinner (mangia!)
Gratitude for life and family is the driving force behind my work. My work blurs the line between timeless, natural pictures and creative, emotional portraits that aim to capture all the reasons there are to be grateful for this messy, beautiful life. Motherhood refocused my life and my lens and brings me more joy than I could have ever imagined. Sure, my days are chaotic and busy and I spend a significant amount of time picking up cheerios off the floor, but--oh! This life is mine, and it is a gift.
I firmly believe in the hidden magic of the every day, and photography is my opportunity to see that magic in you and your family and show it back to you.
In my images you will see real life celebrated. You will see gratitude realized. You will see real people loving each other through real moments. My photography honors the beauty of motherhood, the wonder and joy of childhood, the enduring bond of family, the celebration of growing up and the quiet, insignificant, extraordinary moments happening in your life everyday.
