Rachel + Casey

What's better than a sunny, October weekend on the Chesapeake Bay?  That AND getting to celebrate the engagement of an old friend from college, of course!  Oh, and crab cakes.  Definitely crab cakes.  

But first, the engagement!

Rachel & Casey laugh together-- a lot.  It's one of my favorite things to do, too, so it made hanging out with them and taking pictures of them genuinely enjoying each other a pretty easy thing to do.  Rachel & I went to college together in beautiful Charlottesville, VA, so it was a thrill when she contacted me about her & Casey's engagement photos in Maryland.  She and Casey are surviving the dreaded long-distance relationship while they plan their wedding, but we all got to meet in the middle and spend an amazing weekend on the Bay!  

My husband Brian & I traveled down to Annapolis on a gorgeous Fall weekend to photograph the love between Rachel & Casey.  We adventured all over the town, taking in the sights of St. Mary's Catholic Church (where Casey's parents were married- how cool is that?), St. John's College, and the stunning Annapolis marina.   There was a particularly enticing BBQ happening at St. John's that we considered crashing briefly.  

Sidenote: I do wish I had thought to wear a pedometer, though, so I could brag about all the exercise I got for once.  (Unfortunately, Brian got the brunt of the workout, walking and carrying my bags to boot).   

Rachel & Casey are getting married in April 2016 in Quantico, VA, and if this engagement session is any indication, these two are going to have a life full of love and laughter ahead of them.  I am so happy to have been a part of their celebration.
